All Enemy Types and Weaknesses
There are multiple enemies found in Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival with different strengths and weaknesses. Some are weaker to certain types of damage and some are sturdier from all sorts of damage with certain weak points to balance its strength instead.
Below is a table that quickly shows each enemy type, their weakness, our recommended weapon to use against it, and more! The table does not show the whole picture so consider reading the rest of the article.
| Enemy Name | Strength | Recommended Weapon |
|---|---|---|
| Cultist | Pistol, SMG, any Melee weapon | |
| Armored Cultist | Pistol (with 45 Super Rounds Upgrade), Shotgun, and Blunt melee weapons | |
| Unworthy | Pistol and SMG | |
| Flesh Blob | Pistol and SMG | |
| Possessed Cultist | Shotgun and Assault Rifle | |
| Armored Miniboss | Revolver and Assault Rifle | |
| Bosses | Revolver, Shotgun, and Assault Rifle |
Cultist
Cultists are regular human enemies that use both melee weapons and firearms. Unarmored Cultists are very frail and can easily be killed by a headshot or a couple of body shots. Using any melee weapon, or a pistol is usually enough to take them down even if there is a lot of them.
You can switch to an SMG or Shotgun if there are too many for your liking but it may be inefficient. Any melee weapon is also effective against them.
Armored Cultist
Armored Cultists are regular human enemies with plated armor. They can come fully or partially covered in metal plating.
Just like regular cultists, they use melee weapons and firearms to attack you. Behind their armor, they are still the same frail enemies that can be defeated with a single headshot. The main obstacle here is the armor plating which takes three or more shots of a pistol to chip away and expose their flesh.
A blunt melee weapon can also be used to stagger them and chip away at their armor easier than a bladed one.
While more durable, you only need a couple more hits on their helmet to take down. Partially armored cultists are even easier to deal with with very minor inconvenience involved.
Unworthy
The Unworthy are reanimated bodies of failed ritual sacrifices. They are way more durable than Cultists and Armored Cultists.
One headshot is not enough to take them down but two Pistol headshots stager them momentarily. In total, it takes about six well-placed Pistol headshots or two Pistol headshots and eleven Sawblade hits to take one down.
While we do not recommend using melee weapons against the Unworthy unless it is the Nailer or the Jagged Messer. If you were to use a melee weapon, we recommend a bladed weapon as they can also be dismembered to, literally, disarm them or limit their attacks and movements.
Later on in the game, armored Unworthies may show up and using Blunt weapons may be useful to stagger them while chipping away at their armor.
Additionally, taking them to one final hit puts them in a state vulnerable to Banishing. Banishing them lets you recover health and defeat them. During the Banishing animation, you are also invulnerable to enemy attacks.
Flesh Blob
The Flesh Blob is an Unworthy with blue bulbous spots and will explode when close to you. Its main attack is running at you then exploding. A Flesh Blob's weakness is its blue bulbs and simply shooting at it will make them explode on the spot.
If other enemies are nearby when a Flesh Blob explodes, they are hurt as well. Most unworthy will die when a Flesh Blob explodes next to them.
The Pistol is usually enough to deal with a Flesh Blob and your main challenge is hitting them while on the move or not getting surprised when they show up.
Possessed Cultist
Possessed Cultists are one the hardest enemies to fight because of they always spawn in a group, and are quick and durable.
Getting caught by Possessed Cultists without a weapon with high rate of fire makes your survival chances extremely slim. We recommend always bringing an SMG, an Assault Rifle, or a Shotgun with at least one reload of ammo to spare.
Even with a shotgun, a headshot has to be well-placed to take one down in one hit or it will only stagger it. An SMG and an Assault Rifle is also good, but an SMG is significantly weaker; especially if it has no upgrades, compared to an Assault Rifle.
A more important strategy is to put yourself against a wall and try to limit the angles they will approach you from. Staying in an open space will allow them to attack from different spots, as well as make it hard for you to place shots at them.
Instead, despite being counterintuitive, try to funnel them into a hallway or even a room with one entrance so you can simply aim at one spot and spray your firearm.
Melee weapons are not advised as you can easily get overwhelmed by multiple Possessed Cultists. If there is just one or two of them, then you can use a melee weapon if you are good enough at dodging and timing your attacks.
Armored Miniboss
The Armored Miniboss is a recurring miniboss that is durable and has six arms. Its main attacks are melee strikes with one ranged attack; spitting blood from left to right.
Its main weakness are its arms and hitting it on its face or body does nothing. We recommend using bladed weapons, and any firearm not the Pistol to make quick work of its arms. Once an arm takes enough damage, it will get ripped off its body. Ripping off all its arms will make it vulnerable to being Banished.
It drops a Labyrinth Remnant when Banished which can be sold to Zora.
Overall, this enemy is easy to deal with because its attacks are slow, simple, and easily avoidable.

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival has five main bosses with different weaknesses. Here is a list of them:

|---|---|---|
| STORY ENCOUNTERS | ||
