What Is the Combat Like

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival mixes brutal first-person combat with survival horror. How you manage your resources and approach enemies, guns blazing or with a stealthier touch, decides whether you live or die.

Supernatural Firepower

You wield the Genesis Configuration, a glowing contraption that lets you levitate objects or incinerate enemies.

Damage enemies to gather their Suffering. Once the Genesis Configuration has enough, you unleash Hell Chains, the hooked chains that have defined the series since 1987.

Earthly Weaponry

You find all sorts of weapons along the way. Firearms range from pistols and shotguns to submachine guns, and melee weapons include knives, baseball bats, and cleavers.

Each melee weapon has its own strengths. Bladed weapons dismember and damage unarmored enemies, while blunt weapons stagger and damage armored ones. Armored enemies resist blades, so spend your shotgun shells on them and save the slicing for exposed enemies.

Every weapon also has a durability meter that drains with use, so don't swing carelessly.

Survival Tools

Weapons alone won't keep you alive. Dodging is your main defense, so learn the timing. Ammo is scarce, so scavenge each area for it and for healing items, or hunt for materials you can use to craft more. Set traps where enemies come at you, and barter for upgrades when you get the chance.

Enemy Types

Cultists hunt you in the real world, and Cenobites wait in Hell. Know who you are facing before you spend your ammo and resources!

Combat on Higher Difficulties

Combat gets harder as you raise the difficulty. On Hard, enemies close in aggressively and attack together, so expect to get swarmed.
