Health Gauge & Color Indicators

Check your health with the heartbeat in the bottom-right corner of your screen. Where the heartbeat line ends shows how much health you have. It appears only when your health is low or you are in combat.

The color of the heartbeat shows how bad your condition is. Red means low health, yellow means medium health, and green means high health.

What Is the Combat Like

Healing can be done with items you create from the Crafting Menu. The main ways to heal are using a Bandage and a Medkit.

Crafting unlocks early in Escape from the Scarlet Church - Part 1, right after the opening cutscene. Go outside and examine the cabinet, and the game prompts you to check the Crafting Tab.

List of Healing Items

Bandage

A Bandage needs 3 Cloths and 1 Chemical. Once you have the materials, craft one to recover some health.

How to Craft

Medkit

You may find Medkits later in the game. You can pick one up only if you have room in your inventory. Medkits restore a large amount of health, and you can craft one once you find the recipe.

A medkit is found in a cabinet but the game says that your inventory is full.
