Arcannes wants you to go through three trials to prove your worthiness in getting the ultimate moves for starter Pokémon.

[1] Talk to Arcannes.
・She talks about Ultimate moves that only starters can learn.

[2] Complete the first trial: Trial of Grass.
・Use Meganium.
・Defeat 3 Fire-type Pokémon
・Here is her profile.

[3] Complete the second trial: Trial of Fire.
・Use Emboar.
・Defeat 3 Water-type Pokémon.
・Here is her profile.

[4] Complete the third trial: Trial of Water.
・Use Feraligatr.
・Defeat 3 Grass-type Pokémon.
・Here is her profile.

By the end, she should have given you 3 TMs. They are all powerful moves that require that the Pokémon rest for a while after using, so they have to be used strategically.
