Operation Protect Lumiose Summary

A strange light emanates from Prism Tower. The time to act has come, even sooner than you’d thought it might. What can you and your friends do to protect Lumiose City?

Operation Protect Lumiose Walkthrough

Operation Protect Lumiose

After the strategy meeting with Team MZ and some of the top-ranked Trainers that want to lend a helping hand, Operation Protect Lumiose will commence!

[1] Head for the spot where you're supposed to meet Ivor and Gwynn.

・Follow the marked location on your map to find the siblings, Ivor and Gwynn. Join them to pacify the Rogue Pokémon: Mega Garchomp (Lv.62), Mega Pidgeot (Lv.62), and Mega Kangaskhan (Lv.62).

Tip: Target Mega Pidgeot and Mega Garchomp with Ice-type Moves, and focus Fighting-type Moves on Mega Kangaskhan.

[2] Continue onward with Ivor.

・Proceed to the next area with the help of Ivor, who will assist in removing obstructions that block your path.

[3] Head for the spot where you're supposed to meet Canari and her crew.

・Help Canari and DYN4MO in battling a Mega Blastoise (Lv.62) and Mega Steelix (Lv.62).

Tip: Use Grass or Electric-type against Mega Blastoise, and Water, Fighting, or Ground-type for Mega Steelix.

[4] Overcome the maze of scaffolding to continue onward.

・Here comes the tricky part! You'll need to do some parkouring in the scaffolding maze. Tarragon will act as your guide.

[5] Head for the spot where you're supposed to meet Jacinthe and Lebanne.

・Next stop: the district where Jacinthe and Lebanne are assigned! Help them defeat a Mega Aggron (Lv.62) and Mega Salamence (Lv.62).

Tip: Mega Aggron is weak to Ground, Fire, and Fighting moves. For Mega Salamence, Ice-type attacks will be effective.

[6] Head for the spot where you're supposed to meet Corbeau and his crew.

・Pacify a Mega Gardevoir (Lv.62) and Mega Gallade (Lv.62) with Corbeau and his team.

Tip: Ghost-type Pokémon will make this matchup easier to finish!

[7] Continue on to meet up with Corbeau and his crew.

・Continue following the boss of Rust Syndicate to the next area.

[8] Climb the human ladder to reach the rooftops.

・With the help of the human ladder, you'll reach the top of the building in no time!

Fun Fact: If you keep falling down the building, you'll unlock silly banter with Corbeau and the Rust Syndicate!

[9] Get across the rooftops to reach your final destination.

・While crossing the rooftops, you'll encounter a Mega Alakazam (Lv.62), Mega Metagross (Lv.62), and Mega Aerodactyl (Lv.62). It's a good thing that Grisham and Griselle of Team Flare Nouveau are there to help you!

Tip: Hit Mega Metagross with Fire or Ground-type moves. Use Dark or Ghost-type to defeat Mega Alakazam, and finally, focus Ice or Electric-type attacks on Mega Aerodactyl.

[10] Make your way to your final destination with Zygarde.

・It's time to face the final boss of the game: Hyperrogue Ange Floette! Team up with Zygarde to defeat it.

・Before heading to battle, keep these factors in mind:

Since Hyperrogue Ange Floette has no weakness or advantage, your best bet is to bring your Pokémon with the highest stats and level.

Stock up on Potions! You'll need them since this battle will take quite some time.

Similar to the Rogue Mega Pokémon battles, always retreat your Pokémon to safety when you need to focus on dodging.

・The boss fight has three phases. At the start, focus your attacks on the Blue and Red Eternal Flowers. Here are some attacks it will use:

Body Slam is an AoE Move where the flowers will ram themselves to the ground. Keep your Pokémon back and use long-range attacks for now.

It also has Moves similar to Toxic and Thunder Shock which have a wide range, so stay away during these attacks.

When both flowers fire multiple projectiles at you from afar, quickly hide behind the scattered debris to avoid being hit.

Watch out for the Powerful Beam the boss unleashes from time to time! It can knock out your team easily. Take cover and retreat your Pokémon when needed.

・After the first phase, Hyperrogue Ange Floette uses Light of Ruin. This move can one-hit you, so quickly hide in the safe zone (green circle) Zygarde creates.

・Continue dealing damage until the last phase, when the Pebble from The Secrets of Mega Evolution Main Mission transforms into a Zygardite Mega Stone.

Mega Zygarde will end the battle using its signature Move, Nihil Light. The threat is now gone and Lumiose City is finally safe again!
