Get a Challenger’s Ticket, then take on Grisham of Team Flare Nouveau to move up a rank!

Reaching Rank A is unlocked immediately after finishing A Summons from Vinnie Main Mission. Your next opponent's identity is hidden, so go consult with the top detective in Lumiose City!

[1] Consult Emma about your mysterious opponent, Grisham.

・Go to the Looker Bureau and ask Emma about Grisham.

[2] Battle Emma to try to get the intel you need about Grisham.

・Get some answers by defeating Detective Emma and her team in a Pokémon Battle:

Ampharos (Lv. 57)
Mawile (Lv. 57)
Lucario (Lv. 57)
Lopunny (Lv. 57)
Mega Malamar (Lv. 58)

[3] Go to the Pokémon Research Lab to ask Mable about Grisham.

・Emma believes Mable might have a clue to Grisham's identity. Head over to the Pokémon Research Lab!

・Talk to Mable at the 3F: Director's Office and she'll reveal that Grisham is a skilled Trainer under Team Flare.

[4] Order up a Promotion Match at the Nouveau Café Truck.

Find Grisham, the boss of Team Flare Nouveau, at the Nouveau Café. He'll ask you to meet near Magenta Plaza.

[5] Go to meet Grisham at the location you were sent.

・Grisham and Griselle will meet you at the entrance of the Abandoned Lysandre Café.

[6] Battle Griselle.

・Defeat Griselle of Team Flare Nouveau and her team:

Talonflame (Lv. 59)
Camerupt (Lv. 59)
Aerodactyl (Lv. 60)
Metagross (Lv. 60)
Mega Pyroar (Lv. 61)

[7] Enter the Abandoned Café.

・After healing your party, follow the two inside and learn about the true history of Team Flare from Grisham.

[8] Find the Hidden Passage to enter Lysandre Labs.

・Grisham has opened the Lysandre Labs entrance! Go explore and find the truth about everything for yourself.

[9] Search Lysandre Labs to find the Elevator Key you need.

・When you enter the facility, Mable will call you. She advises you to look for the Elevator Key.

・Investigate the Power Supply Unit in the eastern room to activate the nearby Warp Panels.

・Head to the nearest Warp Panel to teleport to the next area.

Optional: You can also detour and use this Warp Panel to find a Dawn Stone.

・Defeat or catch the Manectric and pick up the Lab Key Card A next to the PC. Use it to open the Locked Door near the lab's entrance.

・Inspect the 2nd Power Supply Unit to unlock another set of Warp Panels.

・Return to this Warp Panel to be teleported to a new area.

・Find and use the Warp Panel on the far side of the room to get Lab Key Card B. Then, unlock the 2nd Locked Door with your new Key Card.

・ Proceed to deeper into the facility to find the 3rd Power Supply Unit.

Optional: If you have spare time, grab the nearby Sun Stone and Thunder Stone!

・When the power is back on, use this Warp Panel, then the next one.

・Once you're teleported to this location, defeat or catch the Lv. 60 Alpha Arbok and the Ekans surrounding it. After that, you can safely grab the Lab Key Card C.

・You're almost there! Open the Locked Door and move forward.

・Defeat the Lv. 50 Alpha Aegislash (Shield Forme) and two Honedge blocking your path to proceed any further.

・Get the Elevator Key inside the next room, and you can now explore the remaining floors of the Lab.

[10] Use the Elevator to reach Lysandre Labs' B3F.

・Pull the lever on the last Power Supply Unit to open the remaining Warp Panels and create a Shortcut.

・Take the Elevator to reach B3F.

Optional: You can also go to B2F to get a Exp. Candy L.

・Read all four files on Lysandre Labs' B3F to complete this objective.

File 2: The Fuel
File 3: The Legends
File 4: Our Shared Dream

[11] Talk to Grisham again in Lysandre Café.

・Exit the Lab and return to the Lysandre Café. Grisham wants you to bring AZ's Eternal Floette to him.

[12] Hear what AZ has to say, then decide how you will move forward.

・Return to Hotel Z to talk to AZ and hear his past with the other members of Team MZ.

[13] Get a Challenger's Ticket, then find Grisham for your Promotion Match.

・After discovering the truth about the device Ange, you must collect 45,000 Ticket Points from the Battle Zones.

・When you're ready for your Promotion Match, go to the Nouveau Café.

・Defeat Grisham of Team Flare Nouveau and his fiery party:

Pangoro (Lv. 61)
Malamar (Lv. 61)
Pyroar (Lv. 61)
Tyranitar (Lv. 62)
Salamence (Lv. 62)
Mega Charizard X (Lv. 63)

・By completing this Pokémon Battle, you'll be promoted to Rank A and receive No. 104 - Flare Blitz TM.
