Battling in the Z-A Royale Walkthrough | Pokemon Legends Z-A

To take part in a promotion match, you must first take on other Trainers in the battle zone to earn yourself a ticket. Clear this initial hurdle, then reach Rank Y!

Prepare for your first official Z-A Royale Match! This Main Mission starts at Hotel Z's Lobby.

[1] Learn about the Z-A Royale from Taunie/Urbain.

・Talk to your friend outside the hotel when you're ready to compete.

・The Battle Zone will be activated! When night falls, make sure to check your map.

[2] Earn Ticket Points by battling Trainers in the Battle Zone.

・Enter the Battle Zone and meet your teammates!

・As a Rank Z, you’ll need 1,000 Ticket Points to get a Challenger’s Ticket. Get 3 Victories before morning to finish this objective.

・Keep in mind that you can talk to Taunie/Urbain for some healing!

・The first Z-Rank Opponent have a Level 6 Bellsprout.

・After defeating the first Trainer, you can talk to Lida for some Battle Tips. She tells you about the importance of Sneak Attacks and gives you a Potion.

・Follow Lida’s instructions and sneak behind the second Trainer, Daniel the Backpacker, by crouching or hiding behind objects. Then, strike Daniel’s Level 6 Bunnelby to gain Advantage! He’ll send out a Level 6 Fletchling next.

・Return to Lida’s spot and take the path to the left. Talk to Naveen, who’ll explain about Prize Medals. These are rewards for defeating Trainers but when you lose, you’ll have to forfeit half of them. He'll also hand over a Sitrus Berry to help you out.

・The last Trainer you’ll battle for Ticket Points is Jean the Office Worker. He uses a Level 6 Weedle.

[3] Meet up with Taunie/Urbain at the nearby Pokémon Center.

・Make use of Travel Spots! Major locations will be registered on your in-game map as soon as you visit them.

・You'll find Taunie/Urbain waiting for you on the bench just outside the Vert Pokémon Center.

[4] Find Zach at the Taxi Lot for your Promotion Match.

・Before heading for your first match in South Boulevard, heal your Pokémon and stock up on any essential items.

・Zach the Driver has three Pokémon: Level 8 Slowpoke, Level 9 Pidgey, and Level 9 Pikachu.

・Defeat Zach and be promoted to Rank Y!

・After the match, Emma, a top detective, will talk to you. Once the conversation ends, the Main Mission will be completed. Great job on your successful match!
