The Maxim Guardis is protected by shield generators scattered around the area. Destroy them quickly! Bombs are highly effective for this fight, so use them. Once the generators are down, go aggressive.

The Maxim Guardis drops Magicite Fragments upon defeat. Make sure to pick them up!

After defeating Maxim Guardis, head on towards the path where you meet Thiew, the White Sage. She will give you the Third Mystic Writings after going through one last trial. Having all three Mystic Writings unlocks the Nomutōta (Mystic Seal). Mystic Seal is needed to achieve the Good Ending.
