Dreams Are Always Right Beside You Walkthrough

[1] Talk to the Depressed Picture Book Author in Littlehope Village

Depressed Villager.png

The Depressed Picture Book Author is in his house, at the top right side of Littlehope Village. He's depressed because an accident left him blind, which to him makes his dream impossible and hopeless. Elliot says he hasn't lost his dreams if he still wants to draw something. This encourages the Author, who realizes there are things he can still do. He wants to draw a Picture Book so that the children around the village can find joy. He asks Elliot to find him an assistant, and Elliot obliges him in his request.

[2] Talk to the Adventurer Admirer in Littlehope Village

Talk to the Adventurer Admirer near the watchtower. He's a kid that seems to be bored, and wants to hear stories of heroes, like the ones Heurich goes on. He asks Elliot if he knows any. Faie wonders if the Author knows anything, and Elliot muses that the kid even helps him draw it. He invites the Admirer to come with him to the author, and he readily accepts.

When the Admirer meets the Author, he eagerly asks for a story. The Author is a bit put on the spot, but he decides to tell the story of "Flustered Frauki". The Admirer is very pleased by the story he told, and asks if he really will draw his stories. The Author says he will, but since he can't see, he can't color anything. The Admirer says he'll help him pick so that they'll make great pictures.

The Author is pleased, but he has no more paint. Since he mentions something about small grass, Elliot volunteers to find some, and he is pointed towards the marshlands, where real Frauki live.

[2] Travel to Southern Westerea

It's easier to approach the grassy area from here than from the Rainbow Lotus Approach.

Obtain Jointy Smallgrass by cutting through the red grass with bladed weapons. Keep doing so until you've gained 5 Jointy Smallgrass.

[2] Return to the Author

Adventures of Elliot.png

The Author will be immensely grateful for Elliot's efforts. He'll thank both Elliot and the Admirer for helping him escape his despair. Then he'll want to hear Elliot's story. He's sure an adventurer like him has tales that he can't even imagine. He wants to capture those stories and share them with children far and wide. That's his new hope.

Faie encourages Elliot to do so, and Elliot obliges that request. Both the Author and the Admirer readily lend their ears, and Elliot tells them about a perilous predicament he was in not too long ago...
