The Sending Flame Rite Walkthrough
[1] Talk fo the Straightforward Adventurer in Littlehope
At the fountain in Littlehope, you'll find Heurich and another adventurer. The adventurer wants to cheer up Heurich due to the loss of two of his friends. Diona mentions the town ceremony in helping people grieve. Elliot asks Calosteia for more details.
[2] Talk to Calotesia
Calotesia mentions to them that the rite was from the Age of Budding, and was called the "Sending Flame Rite." This rite had people light a lamp with a sacred tree flame imbued with the fire of the divine phoenix. It would help guide the lost souls in the underworld.
Unfortunately, that's all Calotesia can find from her documents. While Littlehope is preparing, Elliot and Faie travel back to the age of Magic to learn more.
[3] Head for the Age of Magic
Head to the Age of Magic to learn more. Find Fausta in the Formanit Institute. Unfortunately, Fausta will mention that since history and culture are not her forte, but Ikarus might know since he is descended from a distinguished family from the Age of Budding.
Ikarus at the second floor of his manor will have a collection of old weapons and equipment, including an ancestor's torch that was lit with the flame of the sacred tree. He wishes to keep traditions and tells Elliot that family legend says it's in the volcanic lands. Very few could find it, and those that did proved their courage.
[4] Travel to Monster Trail 5
When you travel to Monster Trail 5, a cutscene will play, and you'll find that the Sacred Tree is to your left.
Unfortunately, a Red Lezkit is in your way. No wonder people had to prove their courage to complete the ritual.
After you defeat the Red Lezkit, travel to the tree by dropping down to the right cliff and then cutting through the cave.
Obtain a torch from the tree by interacting with it.
[5] Return to Littlehope Village
Return to Littlehope and talk to Calotesia. She'll be at the top of the village. Calotesia constructed a lantern, everyone's been working hard to prepare. Diona leaves to look for Heurich.
After the rite, Heurich is thankful to everyone for helping him grieve. He swears to keep moving forward, and will give his everything to rebuild the village! Everyone is happy that he's back to his old self.
The Sending Flame Rite Rewards
For your efforts, you are rewarded with the Steely Charm. It prevents you from being stunned and frozen. It's very useful in boss fights and trap room!
