Wonderful Friends Walkthrough
[1] Talk to Marnie.
This is available after reporting to Fausta about Carter. Talk to Marnie inside the Formanit Institute. While repairing her Magicrab Thaumaton, it runs itself into a wall, damaging its parts. Elliot feels guilty about destroying it in the first place and promises to find materials to replace it.
[2] Acquire 7 Thaumaton parts.
Go to either the Age of Reconstruction or the Age of Safekeeping and defeat Thaumata. They will drop Thaumaton parts. Don't forget to destroy the core of the two-legged ones!
[3] Return to Marnie.
Marnie is thrilled to see what Elliot has brought. She explains that as an orphaned child, her only friends were Thaumata. She hopes to make a suitable toy that will make children smile in the future.

Marnie will give you the Discerning Monocle as thanks.
