A Promise Fulfilled Walkthrough
[1] Meet Ikarus in his Manor
Meet Ikarus at his desk. While cleaning, he found an Ancient Ruby. He had obtained it from a dying adventurer he had tried to save. The adventurer tasked him with returning it to its home.
Sadly, after all his research, all he knows is that there's some kind of mural there. While he is honorbound to do so, he has too many responsibilities taking his time. So he tasks Elliot with fulfilling the request.
Despite having very little to go with, Elliot accepts the task!
[2] Talk to the Loyal Valet
The Loyal Valet will mention to Elliot that the man was found in the snowfield. That narrows down the start of the search.
[3] Travel to Northern Whiterea
With a location known, travel to Northern Whitera so you can investigate any possible clues.
Once there, keep going right until you find a ladder. Once at the top, simply enter the cave nearest to the ice wall.
[4] Go to the end of the cave
Reach the end of the cave to find a mural.
Faie and Elliot observe the mural, and realize that it's of a Myu fighting a dragon.
They also realize that the gem fits perfectly on the headpiece of the woman. They wonder if the adventurer Ikarus met was a Myu, or at least affiliated with them. With their quest complete, they leave the cave. They miss the mural of the queen seemingly speaking to them, telling them to rest well.
[4] Return to Ikarus
Return to Ikarus at his desk. When Elliot confirms he returned the gem, he also asks about the adventurer Ikarus met. Ikarus says that it was a Myu, confirming Elliot's suspicions. The Myu had failed to protect someone close to them and gave Ikarus a sword, a certain mystic power, and the gem before passing away. Ikarus speculates the gem was a protective charm from someone dear to the adventurer. With the Myu gone, it would have been better off in a place sacred to the Myu.
Elliot wonders if the person who gave it to them was the woman in the mural, but Ikarus dismisses it, as the timelines don't match. He's then grateful that he's been able to repay the debt he has to the Myu after they saved his ancestor. The ancestor who founded this country, and is why Ikarus is the head of nobility. Ikarus hopes to honor the teachings and preserve the accomplishments of their triumphs for the generations to come, hoping that the country and family thrive forever.
