Recalling Those Who've Left Us Summary
Hirk needs help testing the new Magicelite invention she created to help quell Magic Springs. Elliot volunteers to help, and in the last Magic Spring, meets with Kai. Kai reveals that Hirk lost her son in the incident two years ago and wishes that the two of them could protect the village together. Hirk agrees that they do need to meet to discuss things.
How to Unlock Recalling Those Who've Left Us
This quest is only available during the True Ending Route and is available after gaining the Amber Pendant accessory from Princess Hueria's Room.

Recalling Those Who've Left Us Walkthrough
[1] Go to Hirk
Hirk is waiting for you at her house. She has just finished making a tool to absorb magic called Magicelite. It was all thanks to Lyudmilla telling her about it. The mineral is cut in a certain way to become more absorbent, allowing them to make Magic Springs stable. Once the Magicelite is blue, it'll become stable and keep absorbing.
However, she's not sure that will actually happen. Elliot encourages her to try, and Hirk directs him to the locations of three Magic Springs for him to place the Magicelite in. Elliot agrees to this plan.
[2] Place the Magicelite in the Magic Springs
There are 3 Magic Springs marked on the map. Be careful not to touch them!

[3] Return to Hirk
Talk to Hirk in her house. She's glad that Magicelite worked, as that means Lady Lyudmilla's teachings didn't go to waste.
An Aide to Chief Kai appears and says there's a new Magic Spring that has been found near the lake. The chief inspects and hopes Hirk can take care of it. Hirk sends Elliot with another Magicelite to calm the Magic Spring, and muses that she can't believe one was found there of all places.
[4] Travel to the last Magic Spring
Travel to Eastern Eddatryl, as it's closest to the south of the lake.
It's surrounded by monsters. Defeat them first so you can place the Magicelite.
Interact with the Spring to trigger a cutscene. Faie and Elliot wonder why Hirk was worried about the lake area, since the monsters seem to be no trouble. Kai then appears to check on the Magic Spring, and is surprised to see Elliot. He's glad to see the fruits of Hirk's research, saying this must mean Hirk is finally over the loss of her son.
It seems that the attack 2 years before that killed a significant part of the population also killed Hirk's son. And that attack happened there. Elliot had no idea this was the kind of memory that Hirk had. The fact that loved ones did not make it back to the village made Kai swear to their memory he would protect the village.
The loss of her son is why Hirk turned to magic. But while Kai and Hirk walked separate paths, they reunited at the end of it. Together, they can make a new path for the village.
[5] Speak with Hirk once more
Return to Hirk for a final time. Elliot says that everything went smoothly, and that the beast tribes should be quelled for now. He also says that he met Kai and he saw the Magicelite. He now wants to talk with her about the future of the village.
Hirk sees he's never been one to rest, and says he's just like his father. From the way Elliot reacts, Hirk deduces that Kai told him about her son. Elliot says they were both affected by the incident, but Hirk wonders how.
Hirk says her grief for her son will never change, and that's why she started studying magic. Elliot reminds her that Lyudmilla had the same hope that everyone would live in peace. Hirk agrees and decides to visit Kai after all.
