Cat Guide
While playing the game, you may have noticed the appearance of cats everywhere, from the overworld to the depths of the dungeons. There's a reason for them! Without going to spoiler territory, let's just say that acquiring cats gives you some benefits.
How to Start Collecting Cats.
[1] Complete the quest Capricious Neighbors
Before this quest, you will not be able to interact with any of the cats at all. This quest becomes available after obtaining the Moonmirror and showing it to Euygene. Leave the castle and a cutscene will start where you will meet the Ailurophilic Traveler.
[2] Talk to the Ailurophilic Traveler.
Talking to the Ailurophilic Traveler, he will show you the number of cats needed to exchange for items. He will also tell you how many cats you have gathered in total and how many are remaining in that age (Yes, he is available to talk to in every age).
[3] Gather Cats!
You can find the locations of all cats by filtering for them in our maps.
Cat Exchange

| Cat Needle 5 Cats |  | A magic artifact for locating cats. Senses their presence and points to their whereabouts. |
| Bomb Pouch 10 Cats |  | Increases the number of bombs that may be carried by 10 |
| Quiver 20 Cats |  | Increases the number of arrows that may be carried by 15 |
| Golden Egg 35 Cats |  | Increases the amount of Tul dropped by enemies by 100%. |
| Medal of the Katzenmeister 50 Cats |  | The decoration of one who has collected all cats from every age. Awarded to true ailurophiles. |
The Cat Needle will NOT work without the Magic Compass. The Magic Compass can be obtained after reporting back to Faustia regarding Carter during the Age of Magic.

The Cat Needle will only show the player all the cats available besides the Myu Sages. In order to access these last three cats, the player must follow the storyline as outlined in the Good Ending below and in order to actually collect them, the player must pursue the True Ending.
