Your flashlight is a friend

In Alan Wake 2, enemies are weak against light. Therefore, it is important to use your flashlight to shine on enemies and weaken them. Areas with light source can also be temporary safe spaces so be sure to keep them in mind when exploring.

Stay calm, aim, and fire

Enemies move quickly and erratically, so shooting randomly or while in panic will often make you miss. Instead, take your time to aim carefully before shooting. Shining a light on enemies will help increase your accuracy since they will be easily seen and sometimes slowed down.
