How to Switch Stories
You can switch in the Break Room
You can switch stories in the Break Room. After clearing Initiation 3, you can enter the Break Room and switch stories anytime. You can proceed with either Alan Wake or Saga Anderson's story.
You cannot change characters in the late game
If you progress Return to 7 or Initiation to 9, you will no longer be able to change characters. At the end of Chapter Return 6 and Initiation 8, exploration and character switching are possible, so it's recommended to progress each story up to just before entering the final stages.

How to Unlock Story Switching
Unlocked after clearing Initiation 3
Story switching is unlocked after clearing Initiation 3. Until then, Alan Wake and Saga Anderson's stories progress in a predetermined order, so aim to clear Initiation 3 first.
