Immensely horrifying and genuinely scary
Alan Wake 2 is genuinely scary and delivers intense horror. There are jump scares while exploring, along with frightening scenes and flickering screens that can really catch you off guard, making it a great choice for horror game enthusiasts.
Intricately layered story
The story has Alan's part and Saga's part, and the story progresses by clearing investigation boards for each. Clearing the investigation boards is essential to the story, and with many points for inference and analysis, it becomes a complex and intricate story with many puzzle-solving elements.
Good controls but no Fast Travel
Alan Wake 2 has good controls, with aim assist making combat easier to control. Movement also feels better than in the previous title, as Alan can now keep moving even when he runs out of breath. However, while there are shortcuts on the map, there is no fast travel system, so traveling from one end of the map to the other can take some time.
Different music for each chapter
Alan Wake 2 has different music prepared for each chapter. In some parts of the story, the music progresses and changes along with the story, showing a high level of attention to the music and allowing for greater immersion.

Also recommended for those who like puzzle-solving elements!
Alan Wake 2 is also recommended for those who enjoy puzzle-solving elements, such as Nursery Rhyme puzzles and password decryption for Cult Stashes. The story has many mysteries, and you organize and deduce them on the investigation board in your Mind Place as you progress through the game.
