Progress through the story while confirming your objectives. You can check your objectives and what you need to do with the △ button, so if the story isn't progressing, check if there are any unfinished elements and move forward.

• Check the Case Board if you get stuck in the story

If you get stuck in the story, check the Case Board. When you align your cursor with each heading on the Case Board and press the ☓ button, you can see the number of clues and hints, so if you don't understand how to progress the story, it's recommended to check it once.

• Collect items while progressing

Alan Wake 2 has many collectible elements, and if you aim to complete it, you need to collect all items, so collect items as much as possible while progressing. Collectibles offer many benefits such as weapon upgrades and ability enhancements, so collecting them will help with game progression.

The Case Board allows you to see the number and hints of clues

Inventory Space Upgrades are items that increase your carrying capacity limit. Strong items use multiple inventory slots, so expanding your inventory allows you to bring more items.

Nursery Rhyme Puzzles

Nursery rhyme puzzles are puzzle-solving elements, and solving them grants items as rewards. Solving nursery rhyme puzzles involves using dolls, but the dolls are reused in other puzzles, so collect the dolls after solving.

Words of Power

Words of Power are collectible elements that enhance Alan. Since Alan cannot upgrade weapons but instead enhances weapons and himself with Words of Power, collecting Words of Power allows you to progress through the story more favorably.
