How to Get Small Talk
After the prologue, the player, as Hugh, can approach Diana and talk to her while at the Shelter. The trophy will unlock after a number of conversations.
Small Talk Note
Talking to Diana enough times, along with giving her gifts, can also result into her giving Hugh a picture, achieving what is needed for the Thanks for Everything! trophy.
