What is Aniimo (The Game)?
[1] Is this like Pokémon?
Yes and No. Aniimo is a monster tamer game like Pokemon where the monsters can evolve into stronger versions of themselves.
However, unlike Pokemon, Aniimo is an action RPG and is not turn-based. It also employs a multiplayer function where a Pathfinder (the player) can work together with other people through coop to explore the world and defeat the bosses in an open world.
[2] Is this a Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) game?
Yes, it is an MMO. It has a very social aspect where you can team together with other people through coop in order to go through the world. There are also game modes that involve going against other players in order to obtain rewards such as Egg Heist.
However, multiplayer is not the heart of the game and it can be played completely solo.
[3] How does Combat work?
Combat in Aniimo is done with a team of up to 4 Aniimo where you can switch them in and out during combat. There is also Trainer mode, where you direct the Aniimo to act, and Twining mode, where you act as the Aniimo itself.
It is played in real-time action and would require the Aniimo to act and dodge as the hits come.
[4] How do Split Evolutions and Forms work?
Regional Forms
Regional forms of Aniimo are alternate form of an Aniimo that may differ due to the area you captured it at or the weather present when you captured it. This may change the Aniimo's typing and moveset, but will not change its stats.
Split Evolutions
Split evolutions are two possible evolution lines for the Aniimo to evolve into. This may change the Aniimo's typing entirely, change its combat role, or completely change its moveset once evolved.
Split evolutions will be available based on certain conditions such as Aniimo level, certain boss Aniimo defeated, and materials you have available.

| Glimmer | Glimmer is the free limited currency in Aniimo. It can be obtained through various methods and may look like a renewable resource, but is in fact, limited in quantity. It can be used to buy cosmetics or several quality of life items. Important Note: It's better to save up your Glimmer when you are at the end game. |
| Alpha | Alphas are powered-up boss Aniimo in specific areas. They reward you with boss material drops that are important for evolution and for progression. |
| Omega | Omegas are linked with quests and are weekly bosses that are typically harder than the Alpha boss battles. |
| Prismana | Prismana are alternate forms of Nova (Final Stage) Aniimo. They typically have lighter colorings than the basic form. They can sometimes also have different typings. In order to get this form, you will need a specific item or capture it in the wild. |
| Umbrabow | Umbrabow are alternate forms of Nova (Final Stage) Aniimo. They typically have lighter colorings than the basic form. They can sometimes also have different typings. In order to get this form, you will need to get an Umbrabow Egg from the game mode Egg Heist. Important Note: This was the requirement during the Closed Beta Tests. We will update the requirements as we play the official release. |
| Sparklings | Sparklings are rare color variants of an Aniimo. They are similar to Shiny Pokemon. They do not have any bearing on the stats of the Aniimo and are simply a visual difference. They can be captured in the wild or be hatched from an Egg. It is also possible to guarantee a Sparkling hatchling by using a Sparkling Cube. Important Note: Sparklings do give you more credit bonus in Aniimo report analyses. Sparkling Elite (rarity) Aniimo can eat a Capability Fruit in order to become a Perfect (rarity) Aniimo. |
| Aniipod | An aniipod is the device used to capture Aniimos. Different aniipods have different capture rates and generally the rarer the aniipod, the better the capture rate. Some aniipods may also allow you to have a faster capture or track the nearby Aniimo. There are special aniipods to take note of: Ultra: Ultra aniipods guarantee Aniimo capture and Elite potential for their eggs. Sparkling: Sparkling aniipods guarantee aniimo capture, Elite/Perfect potential for their eggs, and a Sparkling Aniimo. |
| Personality | The personality of an Aniimo consists of four components, each giving the Aniimo a passive buff. You may want to pay attention to these if you are minmaxing the Aniimo you are raising. These can be changed by using a Psyche Fruit. |
Priorities
[1] Determine what kind of player you are.
Are you a casual, play-at-your-own pace player or are you determined to reach the endgame quickly and get the most powerful Aniimo? If you are the latter, strap in for the later parts of this section to see what you will need to prioritize to best minmax your time with the game.
[2] Unlock Dailies and Weeklies.
Having access to dailies and weeklies will let you get more materials, especially limited ones, more easily. Special events may also happen in certain dailies.
Here is one example. There is a daily event called Star-crossed Tea Party where Aniimo can interact each other for a few minutes in the cafe. There is a rare chance that through this interaction, your Aniimo's stats can increase permanently.
[3] Pathfinder Exams
Pathfinder Exams are how you increase your level cap, your Aniimos' experience cap, and the world level. They also enable new game modes. These all serve to let you become stronger, get through progression more easily, obtain more materials, and get through more features.

Extra Tips and Tricks
[1] Your whole bestiary travels with you!
While you can only have 4 Aniimo in you team at a time, you actually carry all possible equippable Aniimo with you everywhere. This means it is easy to switch in and out what Aniimo you have active and what you might need to use to explore the different areas.
[2] Even with a regular Aniipod, there are ways to better your chance capture!
Sneaking behind an Aniimo or trying to capture it when it is asleep increases your chances of capturing that Aniimo! While there is the tried and true lowering the Aniimo's HP to make your capture chances higher, it will be much better to focus on BREAKING them so that they are stunned when you throw your aniipod at them.
[3] You do not actually need to capture Alphas to get their material drops.
Capturing Alphas will get you a stronger Aniimo, but simply defeating them is enough to get the drops you need. You can also challenge them as much as you want as long as you have the energy to do so.
[4] Keep one of each Aniimo.
Progression through certain areas and quests might need a specific Aniimo. It is better to keep one of each Aniimo at each evolution stage and line so you won't unnecessarily get stuck because you are missing an Aniimo you had already previously captured.
[5] Only Elite and above Aniimo are worth upgrading for meta.
It takes some investment to get your Aniimo to their final level, so it is better to save up materials for Aniimo with more powerful base stats. Perfect Aniimo are of course the ideal for minmaxers, but they have very low spawn rates.
