What Is the Combat Like in Aniimo?
Aniimo utilizes real-time combat instead of the traditional turn-based combat. There are numerous mechanics the Pathfinder must learn in order to fight effectively.
Command Mode and Twine Mode
Aniimo has two modes: Twine Mode and Command Mode. Twine Mode allows the Pathfinder to transform into the Aniimo itself, gaining its stats and skills. Twine Mode is the more direct combat in the game.
Command Mode lets you order your Aniimo from afar, much like a trainer. While in Command Mode, coordinate the skills of your Aniimo to gain victory.
Break System
Break is a real-time mechanic in Aniimo. When an Aniimo inflicts damage, the break bar will begin to deplete. When it breaks, the enemy staggers, giving the Pathfinder an open window for additional attacks or a higher chance of capturing it.
Team Synergy
Aniimos are divided into five roles: DPS, Break, Heal, Support, and Regen. Team synergy requires you to balance your teams according to their respective roles and elements. A balanced team covers any weaknesses while utilizing the strengths of each Aniimo.
