Talk to Starchild.

An exile could use your help.

Starchild asked you to take part in his mysterious experiment. Apparently it's outcome will help not only you, but also others living in the Exile's Cave.

1 Find the Tree of Madness in the abandoned park.

・ When you talk to Starchild in his "humble abode", he'll ask for your help with his experiment.

2 Find the Tree of Madness in the abandoned park.

・You'll need to collect the Tree of Madness Bark. While doing so, it will let out a scream that will spawn some Infected.

3 Leave the forest.

・After getting the bark, you'll ask Starchild what's up with the Tree of Madness. He isn't sure himself, as the virus evolves and adapts.

4 Get to the abandoned house in the swamps forest.

5 Find the way inside the house.

・You can get inside by climbing through the broken roof.

6 Collect the ingredients.

・Find the recently turned infected. While exploring, you can still hear a Mysterious Voice.

7 Kill the infected and take their gallbladder.

・After collecting the Infected Gallbladder, Starchild will give you directions where to go next.

8 Get to Starchild's oasis in the National Park.

・Go through the narrow gap between two walls of a rock to reach Starchild’s Oasis.

9 Talk to Starchild.

・You ask Starchild about the Mysterious Voices that you kept hearing, and he instructs you to lie down.

・Starchild explains that you're hearing everything that's stopping you from having peace of mind.

・Hand over the ingredients so Starchild can create the stimulant.

10 Find the way out.

・Once you take the stimulant, you'll fall asleep and enter a dream.

・Keep walking through the lab's hallway until you reach a door.

11 Defeat your alters.

・You'll be facing your demons. Literally.

12 Kill all enemies.

・While fighting, you can hear Starchild calling you out. You're convulsing! Hurry and defeat these enemies.

13 Talk to Starchild.

・Once you wake up again, Starchild invites you for a talk. He explains that you were able to silence your pain and fear with rage.

・Before the conversation ends, Starchild tells you that "we ask, we doubt, yet we carry on." He also shares his real name with you, which is Benjamin.
