For Your Mind Only Walkthrough - Dying Light The Beast

Starchild will reach out to you. Talk to him to start this Quest.

There's something wrong with the Starchild's telepathy. Go and help him!

Heard from Starchild again. Sounds like something's off with his telepathy this time. Gotta go see him and find out more.

1 Talk to Starchild at the Exile's Cave.

・Starchild tells you that there's a spot where their telepathic abilities are getting disrupted. He asks for your help to check it out.

2 Get to the rail yard.

・The rail yard is located east of the cave.

3 Investigate the rail yard.

4 Get rid of the infected around the car crash.

5 Find the source of the telephatic disruption.

・Investigate the crash site. The truck is full of supplies and it looks like they were planning on a long journey.

・The woman in the car seat, Emma, is mumbling about her son and a tunnel. But she dies from her injuries right after.

・Starchild actually knew Emma Davis and her son. He explains that they were split from him at the basement where you got the Infected Gallbladder during the Don't Look Back in Anger Side Quest.

・Starchild thinks that Emma's son, Rick, may still be alive. Try and find him at the tunnel!

6 Find the old rail tunnel.

・While you're on your way to the tunnel, Starchild will have a hard time reaching you since there will be another voice talking to you. He asks for your help in killing some enemies that are attacking him.

7 Defeat the Baron’s Guards.

8 Investigate the tunnels.

・Once the enemies are defeated, the voice will instruct you to come to them.

・You will see some clothes and supplies inside the tunnel. Emma and Rick lived here, and there are some creepy drawings on the walls. Ignore that for now and continue exploring the tunnel.

9 Explore the rail tunnels.

・Keep exploring until you reach a cave-like area and the voice will say they can finally see you.

・Head deeper in the tunnels until you are "greeted" by the voice.

・Unfortunately, Rick is one of the people consumed by The Swarm. He can still speak, but the monster is too strong.

・In the end, you had no choice but to end his misery. The gunshot alerted other Infected in the area, you have to act fast to save yourself now!

10 Place explosives in the tunnels.

・After killing Rick, Starchild can communicate with you again, but you have other priorities for now.

・Follow the Quest Markers and place four explosives around the tunnel. This part will be quite a challenge because there are a lot of Infected coming your way.

11 Detonate the explosives at a safe distance.

・When the four explosives are placed onto the walls, run to a safe distance.

・Blow up the tunnel and say goodbye to the monstrosity inside of it.

12 Return to Starchild.

・Head back to the cave and tell Starchild everything that has happened: how Rick tried to influence the Infected with his mind and how it backfired on him.

・This caught Starchild's interest, and he plans on visiting the tunnel to get some of Rick's findings. Too bad you already blew it all up!
