Quest Summary
A wounded hunter named Max asked you to hunt some monster called Yaga in return for a primo crossbow.
Hunting Yaga Objectives
1 Talk to the stranger resting at the Abandoned House.
・Max will introduce himself to you and ask if you could hunt for him. He promises to give you his quality Crossbow that he calls Lizzy.
2 Investigate for a Yaga in the forest after dark.
• You can use the Abandoned House's Resting Spot to wait until night time.
• When you reach the Objective area, investigate the bodies and follow the Yaga's footsteps using your Survivor Senses.
• You will know the monster's near when it lets out a laugh. Then, it will lunge at you from above.
• Defeat your target! Be careful of the other Infected that may get in your way.
3 Retrieve the trophy from the hag.
• Search the body of the Yaga to get this Quest Finding.
• Your job is not yet over! After telling Max the great news, he told you to go to the hut near the electrical substation.
4 Get to the meeting place.
• If you prefer, you can wait until morning to do this next objective. Prepare your weapon and gear before going there because some familiar enemies will greet you once you get there!
5 Clear the area of the Baron's soldiers.
6 Find Max.
• Go inside the hut by going through the back door.
• Talk to Max and he'll admit that the contract was from Baron's men and Yaga was a lab-created monster that later on killed his wife. He asks for your help in avenging her by getting back at the scientist who created this monstrosity.
7 Find the scientist.
• Investigate the area for traces.
8 Follow the trail from the hunting cabin.
• Once you reach the area, find the scientist on the upper floor of the building.
• When you confront the scientist named Dr. Saval, you'll be given a choice to either kill him or take his bribe. Luckily, this won't affect the ending for this Side Quest. Choose whatever you feel is best for his fate.
9 Get back to Max.
• Return to the Abandoned House Safe Spot. Unfortunately, Max wasn't able to wait for you any longer. He left you his Lizzy and a letter with his last words.
