Walkthrough
Shagohod has been unleashed! Now begins a chase sequence with you shooting and EVA driving. Go wild with any gun you like to use, but explosives will hurt EVA if you are not careful. Wear theCold War Camoif you were able to get it, enemies will hesitate to shoot you when wearing it.
Oh, and don't forget about the Kerotans and GAKOs you need to collect. Save before getting any of them so you can try again if you fail. EVA will stop driving so you can take out some enemies. Once she does, switch to a scoped weapon and zoom in on the watchtower across you both. TheKerotanwill be on the searchlight so shoot it. During the second time EVA stops, look at the guard tower, theGAKOis on top of it, so shoot it too.
While it does have high defense, shoot Shagohod with the RPG. Its health will carry over when it’s time for the real fight. Keep shooting and protecting EVA and soon you two will head to the runway.
At Groznyj Grad Runway South, you can shoot the Kerotan when EVA stops for the first time. Look for the forklift on the left and shoot theKerotanwith a scoped weapon. Quickly look for the large barrel to your right, theGAKOis there waiting to be shot at. Keep shooting and stunning enemies as EVA drives you to the Runway.
After the cutscene, face the enemies forward while wearing theCold War Camo. They will not shoot you while wearing it. Get ready to come under fire, though, as the next Kerotan and GAKO are coming up soon.
You will have to shoot the Kerotan and GAKO while EVA is driving, so save before shooting them. When EVA starts driving in a straight runway, use a scoped weapon and zoom in on the left. Find a sign that has the number 7 written on it, theKerotanshould be standing on it. Now find a sign that has the number 11 on it, theGAKOshould be standing on that. Keep shooting and stunning as usual.
You're still on the Grad Runway, but now you have Shagohad chasing you. As soon as you start, look to your right and sign that have the number 18 on them, theKerotanshould be on it. Now look on your left for the signs that have the number 25, just standing on the barrier is theGAKO. Like the last stage, EVA will be driving so you will have to shoot it while she does so. Keep doing what you are doing until EVA crosses the bridge she rigged with C3's.
Now, you will have to snipe the C3's to detonate them. Before you do, stand up and search the lower left of the bridge on the support. You will see aKerotanso shoot it. Next, search the mountain to your right, but just a little bit downwards, theGAKOis there taking a mountain hike. Shoot it, and now get ready to snipe the C3's.
Shoot the C3's to destroy the bridge. You can figure out where they are by the flashing red lights. Listen to EVA's instructions too. Be quick about this, you only have until Shagohod reaches the other end. One of the C3's is blocked by supports, so shoot the C3 connected to it to clear your path.
Of course, you can't keep a giant war weapon down easily in Metal Gear, so get ready to fight Shagohod for real. You will first fight on the motorcycle with EVA driving, but in the second phase you will have to take it down on foot (in true Metal Gear fashion) which means no more infinite ammo.
Oh look, there's a Kerotan and a GAKO in this boss fight too. Zoom in on the radio tower, theKerotanis standing just by the corner on the roof. Shoot it. Now for the GAKO, head towards the end of the destroyed bridge, theGAKOis there as clear as day, looking at the ruins. Shoot it and continue with the boss fight.
After you've beaten Shagohod, watch the cutscene. When Snake says "it's finally over" hit R1 for thehidden FPV cutscene.
