The Ocelot Unit Part 1 Walkthrough and Guide - Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater

As Naked Snake starts his Virtuous mission, we start ours, and that's to help you get all the collectibles. For this walkthrough, you need to choose "I like MGS3!" for the extra items.

Get Snake's backpack stuck on a tree branch. Go straight from your position and then to your right, there should be a log you can crawl under. Head towards the tree covered in ivy and climb.

Slowly make your way toward your backpack on the branch. Once you grab your backpack and go down, a cutscene will play.

Once the cutscene is over, make sure to look down on the ground to find our first snake, Snake G (Giant Anaconda).

Use a tranquilizer gun to keep it alive. You will notice there's a "zzz" when you shoot it. Because you kept it alive, you will get the "Can I keep it?" trophy.

Eat the Giant Anaconda. Not only will you get a great stamina recovery, but you also get your second trophy, "Snake Eater."

[You need to choose "I like MGS3!" as your new game.] Now for the third trophy, equip the Flecktarn uniform and the Woodland face paint. You can lie down in your current location to get the "I Can Totally See You" trophy.

You can also get the fourth trophy by using your radio. Go to the frequency 140.01 (Salty Catfish/66 Boys). You will get the "Serenity Now" trophy

Remember Major Tom's advice? Use the fake death pill to get your fifth trophy, "Mostly Dead." Do NOT choose "Continue" or "Exit" when you see "Snake is Dead." Just open your menu and use the revival pill. (You can still do this at later stages. You can try it on the boss fights too.)

Near the tree covered in ivy, look up and shoot the hanging fruit to get a D Med (Digestive Medicine). Use it when Snake gets stomach aches.

Go back to the log where you crawled under. Crawl back and to your left facing the log, you will find R. Mushroom C (Siberian Ink Cap) at the base of the tree.

On the grassy area on your right facing the log, you can find Frog B (Tree Frog).

You can now head straight to where another log is. You will find R. Mushroom A (Russian Oyster Mushroom).

You can immediately look on the ground to see a snake, Snake H (Reticulated Python). There is also a nearby Mk22 bullets (x32).

Going right, you can find a narrow path.

When you reach the top, you will find a Kerotan and a Ga-Ko on the rock to your left!

Shoot the Kerotan to get the "Prince Charming" trophy.

You can now go back to the log and crawl back in to move to the next area, Dremuchij Swampland.

Follow the narrow path and when you reach a wide open area, use your knife to stab the crocodile multiple times (The poor thing…). It's big so you can't miss it! Now you have R. Gavial (Indian Gavial).

Near the crocodile around the middle of the area, you will find the R. Nest (Baltic Hornet Nest)! It will also drop an ointment and Mk22 bullets (x24).

Then just where you shot the nest, there is a Ga-Ko between the trees.

On your right, there is another narrow path. Follow it until you see a Kerotan on a hill! And now you can proceed to the next area, Dremuchij North!

A cutscene will play. Snake spots two enemy soldiers, and the Major will remind you that you can't engage them in battle (Don't listen to him!). Choose a camouflage that can let you blend in with your surroundings. You can check your Camo Index to see how well you blend in. Don't make unnecessary movements, just as the Boss says, "If you just stand up and run around like an idiot, you're bound to be spotted." It's better to crawl to avoid being noticed.

SAVE THE GAME BEFORE PROCEEDING.After saving your game, hide behind the tree toward the narrow path.

Wait for him to come close enough for you to hold him up. He will hold his hands up like he just doesn't care. And so, you now have the "Like He Just Doesn't Care" trophy.

Engage in CQC ignoring the fact that the Major told you not to. This will get you the trophy, "Mama Said."

Wait behind the same tree for the next enemy. This time, interrogate the enemy to get the "Tell Me Where the Bomb Is" trophy.

[This only applies to MGS3.] Without mercy, you can slit his throat for another trophy, "Close Shave."

Now, load the saved file you just made. It's time to actually follow Major's instructions. Once the game has loaded, go to the narrow path on the right. On the right side of the open area, there will be the SVD: Dragunov sniper rifle.

Then go back to the other path where we saw the soldier. This time, you need to sneak past them. You can shoot them from afar. Then shoot the fruit on the tree to get the R. Fruit C (Golova).

After taking the fruit, turn right. There will be another soldier near the stump. Shoot the soldier and the Kerotan!

Around the stumps, there will also be a Stun G (Stun Grenade).

Around the curve on the left, there should be another soldier ahead. Shoot the soldier first, then check the grassy area. You will notice that there is movement on the grass. Throw your stun grenade on that area. You will find the R. Bird D (Magpie).

Now, continue your path toward the last soldier you shot. Notice the hollow stump on the open area. You can find a grenade inside.

[The trophy only applies to MGS3.] On this area, there are lots of fruits hanging on the trees. Shoot at the fruit on top of the trees to get R. Fruit A (Yabloko Moloko). With this, you also achieve the "Everything Is in Season" trophy for collecting all types of fruits!

At the right of the hollow stump, you will see a Ga-Ko sitting on a stump in front of a rock.

Turn around and head toward the other knocked out soldier. You can throw another stun grenade on your left to catch R. Bird E (Sunda Whistling-Thrush). You can then move to the next area, Dolinovodno!

A cutscene will play, showing you a hint for your strategy. Snake will notice an enemy near the bridge and a beehive on a tree. Shoot it to fall on the enemy and get the "Beekeeper" trophy. There is also a Kerotan on top of the bridge post.

As you run forward, you'll see on top of the ledge is a Ga-Ko.

On the left side of the area, go down toward the crevice. You will find the XM16E1, Pentazemin, and Mk22 bullets (x24).

Go back up and head toward the next area, Rassvet! You now reached the abandoned factory where Sokolov, your objective, is supposedly being held. Snake will tell you that there are a lot of Sentries posted outside and wonders how many are inside. Major also reminds you to bring Sokolov back alive. Remember not to approach Sokolov while the enemies are on alert.

Shoot three sentries (two near each other and one behind the broken wall). Then on the left, you will find the M37 around the crates.

Then move toward the crack in the wall at left side. You should see a Kerotan there to shoot!

Next, climb the stairs to get another XM16E1.

Move towards the opening made by the broken wall near the stairs then enter the other broken wall on the right. You'll see a locker and a shelf. The Ga-Ko can be found on the shelf.

Then you can go out of the walled area and head toward its right. Below the window, there is an opening for you to crawl under. Inside, you will see a rat you can shoot. After that, you can come back out.

Go back to the right inside the walled area. Enter the room, and you will find a door you can enter. A cutscene will play. You finally meet Sokolov. He will warn you about Colonel Volgin of GRU aka Thunderbolt.

After killing all the surrounding soldiers, it's time to face Major Ocelot with his fancy boots. He will also call GRU operatives and mock Snake's stance and gun. Snake will show him who's boss. Due to the altercation, you will lose sight of Sokolov. You will automatically get the trophy, "Young Gun."You can shake Major Ocelot for a Mouse Trap to drop.

SAVE THE GAME BEFORE PROCEEDING.Equip your survival knife and stab Major Ocelot multiple times. He will die a GRUesome death creating a TIME PARADOX. You will get the trophy, "Problem Solved, Series Over" in MGS3 and "Time Paradox" in Delta. Exit to the main menu and load your last saved game.
