The Pain Walkthrough and Guide - Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater

Go straight and you will find a large rock with the Animals Uniform. This will only spawn if you defeat Ocelot by depleting his stamina. The cave is dark so using the Cigar can light up your path, however, you will gain damage from using it. Around you will also be a lot of crabs and a Reticulated Phyton to collect as food.

Keep running straight ahead and follow the wall at your left side. You will come upon two waterfalls. In between them is a small cubby that has White Phosporous Grenade and a Torch. Use the Torch to light up the cave by equipping it from the Weapons menu.

On the ground of the cubby hole are Crabs and Mushrooms, shoot them to collect.

Exit the cubby hole and look above the cave. You will see a Ga-Ko perched on top.

Go across from your position into a small passageway. At the end of it, there will be some Mushroom E .

At that dead end, will be a crawl space at the bottom. Go under and get to the other side. There will be two crawlspaces that you must go through to get where we need to go.

Once you are across the second crawlspace, walk forward and there will be a hole in front of you. Instead of going inside the hole, go around it through the eastern path and at its side will be some Night Vision Goggles, as well as some AK-47 Ammo.

Equip the goggles from the items menu. From where you acquire them, at the wall, you will find a crevice with a Kerotan Frog.

Go and backtrack to the waterfall area. Along the way, once you are out of the first crawlspace, you can collect some bats that are flying near the ceiling. You can see them using Thermal Goggles if you have them.

Go through the second crawlspace. Once you can stand, you can go down the nearby ledge and get a Battery, some AK-47 Ammo, and some more Mushrooms.

Run down that space until you get into some water. Dive into the water and swim straight ahead. You will return to the big rock where you where initially at when you entered the area.

This time, follow the eastern path. At its end, there will be a Snake, a Grenade, and M1911A1 Ammo.

After collecting the animals and items, return through where you came from. When you get to the big clearing, there is a crawlspace to your right. Go through there.

Once you can stand up, you will find some Serum to your left side.

From where you entered, go right into a tunnel (not following the flow of the water). Along this path, there will be AK-47 ammo, Mk22 ammo, and Bug Juice. By the end of the path, you will enter Chyornaya Peschera Cave.

At the entrance, go down the right path through a narrow tunnel. You will find an M37 and some Mk22 Ammo.

Get down and through the crawlspace. When you can stand again, there will be a Snow Uniform in front of you.

There is another crawlspace at the end of the path. Get down and go across it. When you get up, go take the eastern path. Before entering a large clearing, you will see an opening to the outside at the top part of the cave. At the bottom of the opening is a Kerotan Frog.

Proceed forward and you will trigger the boss fight with The Pain.

The Pain is a hornet user! You have to stay in the water to stay safe from his attacks. Equipping the Water camo is ideal since The Pain won't be able to tell where you are while you are in the water. You can also alternatively keep attacking him before he has the chance to attack. If you are able to defeat The Pain by pushing his stamina to zero, you will earn the Stripe Camo.
