On the Standard (Classic) and Insanity difficulty modes, Ink Ribbons are needed for saving manually. After picking up one of these ink ribbons, use one to save at a typewriter. Typewriters and Ink Ribbons can be found in our maps.

This cannot be done on Casual and Standard (Modern) difficulty.
