Best Classes for Multiplayer
Playing solo and playing in a squad requires very different priorities in Mistfall Hunter. Here's a recommended team composition to help you and your squad cover all the bases, frontline, damage, and support.
Frontline: Mercenary or Withered Knight
The frontline acts as your team's shield and damage sponge. Their job is keeping allies safe and creating space for your DPS and Support to do their intended roles.
- Mercenary's Sword & Shield kit excels at blocking, parrying, and stunning.
- Withered Knight brings a mix of supportive and defensive skills to the role.
Whoever's on frontline should be the one calling engagements. Since they're absorbing the most damage and have the clearest read on enemy positioning, letting them shot-call fights (rather than DPS or Support) usually leads to cleaner engagements.
DPS: Blackarrow, Shadowstrix, or Sorcerer
Your DPS clears adds, applies sustained pressure, and picks off targets from a safer distance.
- Sorcerer stands out here in particular, its longer cast times become far less risky in a trio, since teammates can peel attackers off it, something it can't count on while playing solo.
Coordinate burst windows with your frontline's stuns or your support's cooldowns. A Sorcerer's charged attacks land far more consistently when timed right after your frontline lands a crowd-control effect.
Support: Seer (Reverent)
Support keeps the squad alive through damage reduction and healing over time. They often double as the team's information and routing brain too, helping decide which fights are actually worth taking.
Don't underestimate this role! A Support who tracks enemy squad positions and extraction timing can help your team avoid unnecessary fights entirely, which is often more valuable than winning every engagement you run into.
This lineup is a solid starting point, but it's far from the only viable comp. Feel free to experiment with different combinations based on how you and your squad like to play!
General Team Strategy
Try to Stick Together
Stick together during rotations. Splitting up to loot faster might seem efficient, but it leaves your team vulnerable to being picked off one by one by another squad.
Coordinate with Your Team
Communicate cooldowns. Letting your team know when your key skills (like a Sorcerer's burst or a Mercenary's Shield Slam) are ready helps you time coordinated pushes instead of wasting them separately.
Retreat when Necessary
Know when to disengage. Not every fight is worth taking, if your team is low on resources or your frontline is out of position, retreating and resetting is often the smarter play.
