Shadowstrix Overview

Shadowstrix is Mistfall Hunter's archetypal rogue. This class boasts a high-risk, high-reward skillset built around stealth, movement, and short bursts of devastating melee attacks.

Shadowstrix's playstyle revolves around ambush tactics, often approaching enemies from concealment, striking fast, and disappearing before the target realizes what happened. Instead of relying on heavy armor or blocking, this class leans towards timing and mobility.

Pros

High Mobility

Shadowstrix can dodge mid-combo, turn invisible, and rapidly cover distances. This level of mobility is arguably the strongest positioning skillset in the game.

Even when caught out by an ambush, Shadowstrix's mobility skills can easily disengage, disappear, and provide the opportunity to return to the fight from a better angle.

High Burst Damage

Shadowstrix has a wide array of offensive skills in their belt. They are exceptional at overwhelming targets with sheer combo chains from out of nowhere. As a class that excels at bursting squishy targets, ranged and caster classes all struggle against an enemy that can instantly close the gap, burst them down, and retreat to the shadows.

Stealth

As the defining trait of the class, stealth is a big part of Shadowstrix's core playstyle. Hiding behind cover and going invisible can easily catch most Gyldhunters off guard, making them easy pickings.

Cons

Low Health

Shadowstrix has one of the lowest HP pools in the game. Paired with low base armor, this makes it easy to punish them the moment they overstep or move out of position.

Struggles Against Tanks

Tankier classes in general can withstand Shadowstrix's initial burst, as its kit is not as good at drawn-out fights. Withered Knight can also parry many Shadowstrix abilities and punish failed combos.

Weak Against Groups

As a single-target damage dealer, Shadowstrix can struggle against groups of enemies, especially if they're coordinated and ready to punish a squishy target. Great Shadowstrixes should be able to isolate and assassinate their targets, not take on a whole group at the same time.

Long Cooldowns

Shadowstrix's key skills have long cooldowns, especially in Solo. A mistimed engagement can leave you without an escape option.

Pick Targets

Focus on squishy backline targets (Blackarrow, Seer, Sorcerer) and avoid head-on fights with tankier classes.

Bait Defensive Skills

Wait until an opponent has used their defensive options before committing. This ensures that you slip past their defenses and guarantee a kill.

Don't Overstay

If an engagement was not successful, disengage instead of trying to force it. Don't allow enemies to punish Shadowstrix's openings.

Manage Energy

Use skills and energy wisely instead of spamming and blindly hitting enemies.
