The Needle's Eye Summary
Arriving at Malta, James Bond is looked down on by the instructor Greenway, and his fellow trainees. He goes through intensive training, finally resulting into a full-out brawl with his trainer/fellow trainee, Monroe. Despite Monroe's previous problems with Bond, their relationship becomes better after the fight.
After finishing basic training, Bond reports back to M. Despite Greenway's recommendation to cut Bond off, M believes in Bond's potential as a spy. Moneypenny introduces the R&D division of the MI6 to Bond - Q-Lab. He gets acquainted with Q and receives the Q Lens, a watch that lets him hack into things with his eyes. Moneypenny then briefs him on what Advanced Training will entail.
Bond settles in his new home with Cressida and Monroe. The time for advanced training has come. Over the course of months, Bond and his fellow trainees do several simulations, as well as get introduced to new gadgets. They have a 'Capture the Flag' at dawn set up after some heavy training and Bond suggests they take the flag now so that they can have the day off the next day. Monroe and Cressida go with his idea.

The Needle's Eye Walkthrough
[1] Talk to Greenway on the way to the training facility.
Bond arrives at Malta and is picked up by Greenway. He doesn't seem too keen about Bond being added to the trainees, but M insisted for him to give them a try.
[2] Meet the other recruits.
Follow Greenway. He immediately puts Bond into a fighting match to test him.

The game will now teach you how to Strike. Bond loses to Monroe in no time. Greenway instructs Cressida to teach Bond the basics. He has two weeks to pass the test.
[3] Get through basic training.
Follow Monroe. He is very skeptical of Bond, but he has no choice but to train Bond seriously since his marks are on the line. Cressida enters with a speedy car. They will now speedrun Bond through training.

Monroe challenges Bond to a fight but is pissed off by his easygoing attitude.
You learn how to do a Fake Surrender before going into a full fight with Monroe. While there are CG scenes in between, you will still have to do a decent amount of fighting yourself.
Somehow this brawl deepened their friendship.
[4] Meet M.
Bond has completed the training and goes to report to M. Greenway recommends he be cut out of the program. M leads him to THEIA, a supercomputer. She explains it's a huge reason for her current success as the head of the MI6. THEIA predicted a very small chance of Bond surviving all that he has and M believes in how he goes against the odds. She thinks that his empathy and intuition are still needed in modern spycraft.
[5] Get acquainted with the Q-Lab.
Follow Moneypenny. You can talk to the scientists in the lab to learn more about Q-lab and Q.

Talk to Selina Tan. She explains that she is in charge of Tactical Simulations and would like to show the program to Bond once it's done.
Talk to Q. He seems to do a full-body and retinal scan on Bond in a matter of seconds. He then makes Bond choose a watch. The only difference in the watches is the color, but they all have the same function.
Turn on the Q Lens overlay and hack the lamps in front of you. Next, hack any object in the Q-Lab. Pick up batteries keep the watch charged. You may continue to cause havoc in the lab if you wish or talk to Q for more information.

[6] Talk to Moneypenny to get briefed on advanced training.
Bond will get sent to safehouses for the next 6 months, partnering with Monroe and Cressida. The Advanced Training will take place both in those safehouses and in Malta.
[7] Make yourself at home.
Bond meets Stephen Bright at his new home for training. He excuses himself, saying he was just dropping off boxes for Cressida.
Go and settle in your room. Talk to Cressida to find the key. You can also talk to both her and Monroe for more information.

Talk to Cressida to head out.
[8] Get the flag.
Cressida and Monroe will act as the radio guide. Go and enter the training grounds. Hack the switch using Q-Lens to open up the gate.
Some tips on this exercise:
- Find the flag and avoid enemies using stealth and using Q-Lens. Use this time to familiarize yourself with it.
- If you do get into a fight, make sure not to fatally injure anyone. Firearms can only be used when the enemy has intent to kill.
- There are two routes, the left and the right, that you can take. Either way can get you to the flag. Just stay cautious and don't forget to use your Q-Lens when you're stuck!

[9] Watch the cut scenes.
A montage of other flag capturing simulations will commence. Bond will then be used as an example for a lie detector test. Greenway advises that it's best to tell the truth when being interrogated unless it jeopardizes the mission.
Time passes by with more scenes. Our roommates do a lie detection test at home with Cressida being questioned. Choose questions to ask.
[10] Test Q's spy gear.
Pick up the Dart Phone and the chemical resource. Move to the blue circle and you will learn how to select your gadget. Use the phone on Ronson.
[11] Run Selina's test.
Complete the instinct training and learn how to slow down a target while focusing. Shoot two of the targets.
[12] Capture the flag.
Training just ended and Greenway announces they have another capture the flag at dawn. The trio are dead tired, but Bond suggests they get the flag now so that they can have the day off tomorrow. Cressida agrees, so Monroe gets roped into the idea as well.

In the end, the plan works and they are (probably begrudgingly) approved by Greenway. Cressida shows up telling Bond they're going out.
