Xuanyangzi NPC Location Guide

This man is a gift that keeps on giving. Be sure to come back for him so you can get extra items. You can obtain these types of items through other means, so don't worry if you miss him.
He tends to provide you with lore of the game and what is currently happening. So if you're into that, you can check him out!
Do take note of the branching paths that may lead you to two different ends (Bad End and True End).

1. 1. Inside Reverent Temple, go down the stairs (second floor) and talk to Xuanyangzi, probably the kindest man in this game. He will return the manuscript that he found on you.
   
   
2. 2. At the eastern side of Shu Sanctum, there is a downward path. You can find him again there. Here, he will give you Purple Camellias (x3).
   
   
3. 3. After defeating Lu Bingzhang, go back to Reverent Temple. He will give you a Red Mercury Shoot.
   
   
4. 4. After defeating the Great Centipede, you will reach the Doomwillow Beach. Be careful with the mimic shrine! After defeating it, you can unlock the legitimate shrine. You can then use it to return to Reverent Temple. Here, he will give you Steamed Bunny Buns (x5).
   
   
5. 5. After defeating the big bad tree, Soulwood, You'll meet him again on the path toward the Lotus Pond. He will give you Fixed Origin Pills (x3).
   
   
6. 6. After some skill check when you defeat the pretty lady, Commander Honglan, go to Reverent Temple because that's where you find him again. He'll give you a Growing Red Mercury.
   
   
7. 7. Once you reach the Cloudspire Shaft, use the shrine to teleport back to Revenant Temple. Thank the man for the Kong Wine (x5).
   
   
8. 8. Look for the Mad Doctor's Research Notes in the 3rd floor of the Shaft.
   
   
9. 9. Now return to the Reverent Temple and show him the mad doctor's research notes. He will give you some Special Pills (x5).
   
   
10. 10. Defeat the Perfect Bride, Fang Ling then return to Reverant Temple to talk to him. You will receive a Crystallized Red Mercury.
    
    
11. 11. Get the Zhenwu Temple Scriptures in the Pavilion of Knowledge.
    
    
12. 12. Return to Reverent Temple and show him the scriptures. Take the Red Blood.
    
    
13. 13. Reach the Ferry Overlook and unlock the shrine. You can then use it to teleport back to Reverent Temple. You will receive a Blood of Changhong.
    
    
14. 14. It's time to meet the big baby for the second time. Defeat the Monstrous Toddler, Bai Kru and then return to the Reverent Temple to talk to him. Receive the blood of Wangdi.
    
    
15. 15.Note:There is a branching to two different ends. When you meet him in the Burning Cavern, you will be given two options:
    
    ・Remain Silentwhich will lead you to theDream's Sweet Deceit(True End); and
    ・Hand over the Jade Feather Chiselwhich will lead you to theJar Full of Medicine(Bad End)
    
    
16. 16. If you hand over the Chisel, you can talk to him in Bo Capital Entance. You will then receive the Golden Feather Pearl. And you can summon him during your fight with The Reborn.
