Tips for Defeating Bosses
[1] Use the Icon to Tell a Boss's Difficulty.
There are three boss tiers you may encounter: Mist Lords, Underlords, and Lords. Use these to gauge how difficult a fight will be before you commit to it.
[2] Weigh the Risk Before You Engage.
Only take on a boss when your build can handle it, and you're confident you can still extract afterward. Winning a tough boss fight only to get caught out in the open right after is one of the most common ways to lose a big haul.
[3] Patience Pays Off, Recklessness Doesn't.
Read enemy attack patterns before performing a combo, since overcommitting against a monster with a delayed attack can cost you a sizable chunk of health, or worse! Once you've got the timing down, use the free-aim system to target weak points. It shortens fights and conserves resources for the rest of the run.
