How to Change Classes in Mistfall Hunter

Picked a class early on and want to try something else? Mistfall Hunter lets you switch classes without starting over, though it comes with a few costs and restrictions once you've used your free switch. Read below for the full details!

Steps in Switching Classes

Step 1: Complete the Prologue
Class switching isn't available right away. You'll need to finish the prologue first, which gets you teleported to camp, your main hub for gearing up between extraction runs.
Step 2: Find Dew
Once you're at camp, look for Dew, the NPC who guides you through the game's quests early on.
Step 3: Select Switch Class
Talk to Dew and select the switch class option. That opens up the full list of available classes.
Step 4: Choose Your New Class
Pick the class you want to try and confirm your choice. Your character switches immediately, so you can head into the training arena to test your new kit or jump straight into a run!

Things to Consider Before Switching Classes

Pros

✓First class switch is completely free!
✓Short reversion window lets you revert to your previous class for free, no cooldown needed.
✓Free switch is a low-risk way to experiment early.

Cons

✗Every switch after the first costs 200 Gyldenblod.
✗A cooldown kicks in after switching, limiting how often you can change classes.
✗Committing to the wrong class gets costlier the more you switch.

An Alternate to Switching

If switching classes on your main character isn't really your style, you don't have to commit to one build forever. Mistfall Hunter doesn't let you create a second character right away, but upgrading your camp's Gyldenblood Pool can unlock Extra Character Slots.
